A Model Railway Layout based on the Lambourn Valley Line Terminus

Welcome to the website of Lambourn, a 4mm to the foot scale model railway layout based on the terminus of the Lambourn Valley Line as it would have appeared in the early 1930s under Great Western Railway ownership.

The Lambourn Valley Line ran through the Berkshire Downs, running between the railway junction at Newbury and the terminus at Lambourn. Originally constructed by the independant Lambourn Valley Railway Company, the 12¼ mile line was taken over by the Great Western Railway in 1905. Passenger services ceased in January 1960 under British Railways, Western Region.
